Sculpture Pavilion

Inspired by the Rotanda House and the Parkeh House, I used the horizontal rhythm and the circle in my field explorations. Expanding my concepts of the first three sketches, I created a pattern with my sketch as a unit. I focused on the general movement of the field, creating an undulating motion with the section curves.
To enhance that movement, I separated my sketch into two levels according to its color to create more negative spaces. In the final pavilion, I used the walls and elevated floors as guidance for circulation. The pathways are separated into curves and lines: the curved pathways serve as a connection between the units, and the vertical pathways are a more direct and enclosed way that leads to the voids, leaving the element of exploration to the audience.
